Horror fans are being told to take a trip to their nearest cinema to see a recently released film that 'messes with your mind'.
Heretic landed on UK screens just last week and viewers have been quick to sing its praises.
With the film now also available to see in US locations, even more reviews and reactions have been shared online.
Directed by the writers of the original A Quiet Place title, it stars Hugh Grant in a role most audiences will never have seen him in before as he takes on the role of Mr Reed.
It also features Sophie Thatcher as Sister Barnes, Chloe East as Sister Paxton, Topher Grace as Elder Kennedy and Elle Young as Prophet.
The story follows two missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who attempt to convert a Scottish man.
However, their task proves to be even more dangerous than they had anticipated, leading to grave consequences for everyone involved as they find themselves in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse.
While it received its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, it was released in the UK in time for Halloween and opened across the pond today (November 8).
A the time of writing, it boasts a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes with critics claiming Grant has 'infectious fun playing against type' and one verified reviewer saying it 'messes with your mind'.
Other audience members have also shared their opinion of the film on the site with one posting: "Definitely kept you at the edge of your seat the entire movie. Never seen Hugh Grant in such a role and was pretty powerful acting by all."
Another said: "Thought-provoking. Somewhere between Saw, Cube, and 10 Cloverfield Lane, wrapped in a 'crisis of faith' theme. Come for the psychological thriller, stay for the philosophical killer. Excellent performances/directing. Much like the titular antagonist, the film manages to hold a microscope up to religion while giving us challenging choices to make."
One fan praised the studio behind the release, A24, stating they 'knocked it out the park again', while another claimed 'Hollywood has done a disservice to Hugh Grant.'
They said: "Based on this performance, he clearly should have been given more antagonist roles. He chews up dialogue like Denzel in Training Day and easily layers on tension and malice. Fantastic."
Heretic is showing in cinemas now.
