Liam Delap was signed before the start of the Club World Cup, with the striker already impressing in a Chelsea shirt with one goal and one assist across his four appearances.

Recent days have also seen Chelsea sign Joao Pedro from Brighton and have agreed a deal to signJamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.

A £60million deal was agreed with the Seagulls, which saw the Blues sign Pedro. Chelsea have also agreed a deal worth up to £55million with Dortmund to bring Gittens to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea supporters will be eager to watch the duo in action as soon as possible following news of deals being agreed for Pedro and Gittens.

Club World Cup registration rules mean that Chelsea needed to make any new signings before July 3 in order for them to be eligible to feature in the tournament.

With Chelsea signing Pedro on July 2, it means that the Brazilian is eligible to face Palmeiras in the Club World Cup quarter-final on Friday night.

For Gittens, though, Chelsea are yet to officially confirm the deal. Dortmund have announced that an agreement has been reached for the transfer, but the move is yet to be finalised.

As a result, Gittens will not be available to feature for Chelsea in the clash against Palmeiras. Plus, due to the July 3 registration deadline come and gone, the England Under-21 international will not be eligible for the rest of the tournament if the Blues progress to the semi-final and beyond.
