Brits visit McDonald's in America – and it's far from what they expected

Us Brits love our fast food, which means most people have visited at some point or another.

But one couple recently headed to a branch in , and it left them pretty mind-blown. Nathan and Grace, known as @nathanandgrace on , shared a video of their recent adventure in the States, and it was the popular fast food restaurant that caught their attention.

They opened the video by saying the branch in Florida was "huge" and "so clean". In fact, they couldn't believe just how clean it was.

When it came to the, they admitted the menu was pretty much the same as it is in the UK, aside from a few key items. These included three half strips of bacon, all of the different sauces and the fizzy drink selection.

They decided to snap up a Happy Meal as they thought it would contain an accessory for their Crocs, but had a bit of a surprise when they opened it. Instead, they discovered a really mini McDonald's Croc inside.

In the clip, Grace said: "And then it was time to try the frozen Fanta, and I did not like this. It literally just felt like all of the sugar in it was sticking to my teeth.

"It was not for me. I actually ended up going back to the till for a normal Fanta, so I had a drink that I liked. This was the smaller size, and it was literally bigger than my head.

"We both got chicken nugget meals, and they were good. The nuggets were crispy, but we still didn't think it was better than the UK. Also, how cute are the fries that you get in happy meal? They are so tiny."

Since it was shared, the video has been viewed thousands of times, and people were quick to comment too. Lots of people seem to think the UK branches reign supreme.

One person said: "Went last year and we didn't like it. Preferred the UK one, but did like how small the fries are in the Happy Meal." Another wrote: "Hated the McDonald's breakfast over there. The McGriddle was vile."

Some shared happy experiences though, with one commenting: "I got spaghetti bolognese from McD's when in America. It was amazing." Meanwhile, one more shared: "Pizza in America McDonald's is just mind-blowing, and the Crocs for Happy Meal is so awesome."
