A former Baywatch star has fiercely defended her new career, admitting that it has helped support her family.
Brande Roderick, 50, opened up about her role as the sole provider for her family, which has led her to pursue an OnlyFans account. As a single mom of two boys without financial support from their father, she shared the importance of taking care of her family. However her "side hustle" has also allowed her to pursue her acting passion.
She told Fox News Digital, “My passion and love is acting and producing. So, in order for me to do that, I have, you know, my side job with OnlyFans, which helps to facilitate my other passion for acting and producing. So, for me, it's been really a wonderful outlet for me..”
Born in California, the actress gained fame as a Baywatch lifeguard in the late 1990s, becoming a recognisable face of the show. Brande compared her OnlyFans shoots to her Playboy days, saying she has way more creative control this time around.
She explained: "You only put out there the images that you love and that you want, you know, the world to see. Whereas when you were doing Playboy, you really had no control over it. So, it's like I'm my own Hugh Hefner, I guess." The blonde beauty also made clear that she doesn't "show any nudity down below" and tries to bring an artistic and meaningful approach to the images.
Brande landed her role on Baywatch after navigating through multiple auditions, which included challenging swimming and water tests. She ultimately succeeded, becoming the second character in the spin-off franchise's history to take on the role of a helicopter pilot, following Allie Reese.
During her career, Brande has appeared in popular shows and films like Starsky & Hutch, The Nanny Diaries, and Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror. She’s also guest-starred in series such as Joey, Just Shoot Me!, and Beverly Hills, 90210.
In her personal life, the star relationship with the late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner from 2000 to 2001 and was also linked to former NFL player Cade McNown.
In August 2006, she got engaged to Glenn Cadrez, a former NFL player who had an impressive career with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and Kansas City Chiefs. They tied the knot in June 2007 and welcomed two sons together. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2017.
